This drawing is my three cups drawing. It uses the four basic principles of composition. It is three different shaped and sized objects with different height of bases to give it depth. For this drawing I used a normal pencil and a normal eraser. When drawing this I started with the outline of the objects and then added the extra details. My goal is to get better with just normal drawing/shading and I feel that this is a good project to see where i'm starting at and helps show where I can improve. I learned to use all my time and to establish a light source so when you need to you can add shadows.
This was our first still life drawing in the main components that were used in this was time, line, and proportion. We had 45 minutes to draw what we saw and focused on one part of a sculpture for still life. We used our graphite pencils and erasers and also a tissue. With this first still life drawing my goal is to be able to achieve different shades and colors more easily and to be able to finish on time. A way I could reach this is to practice drawing more or to even fix things on my old drawings. I learned with creating this drawing that having a time limit on a drawing is hard and making a drawing look exactly how you want it rarely ever happens.

This is my still life drawing . It was a 3 day long drawing that we did in class. I chose My phone, a volleyball medial, and my Polaroid camera. I feel that these objects represent me because my phone is always on me, I have played volleyball for 6 years, and I love taking pictures and making memories with my friends. In this drawing we used orientation, line quality, the 6 characters of light. I made sure to incorporate the light highlights and the darkest parts of the shadows to give a good variety of shades. I think that this is so far my best drawing and I hope that my art work continues to get better.
This is my 1 Point Perspective drawing. It was a 3 day long drawing. I chose this picture because I knew it would challenge me into using all 6 parts of light and make everything back to the vanishing point. The horizon line is a little higher on the page so I can get more of the ground in it and not as much sky. I feel that I did a good job of using the 6 parts of light and that everything looks proportional. This drawing is my best drawing because I feel that I am better at porspective drawings and not shape drawings.
This is my self portrait. It was a 3 day long drawing. I thought I did a very good job on using my parts of light to make the face look realistic. I feel that everything looks proportional. My favorite part about this drawing is my right eyebrow, eyelashes, and eyeball. I also feel that my hair looks pretty realistic and good. This drawing isn't one of my best drawing because I feel that I am better at perspective drawings and not people in general like figure drawing.
This is my two point perspective. It was a 3 day long drawing. I thought I did a very good job on using my parts of light to make the light pull pop out from the building. I think my person is proportional to my doors so it looks like the person will fit. My favorite part is my clouds and trees.. This is my favorite drawing. I feel that I am better at perspective drawings.
This is my gray paper drawing with white and black charcoal pencils. I chose this picture because I knew it would challenge me into using all 6 parts of light and I thought the elephants were cute. The small elephant is the middle gray so there is little color on it for shading. Only colors i used for the little elephant were to pull out drastic characteristics. I feel that I did a good job using the grid pattern for the first time and it makes everything look proportional. This drawing is my favorite because it was my choice of picture and i fell like it looks real.
This is my choice drawing with white and black charcoal pencils. I chose to use gray paper again because I liked using it because it was different then just white paper. I chose this picture because I knew it would challenge me with proportions and It means a lot to me because it is ,y grandpas bench at his grave. I feel that I did a good job using the grid pattern for the but I could have taken a little longer on it. I like this pictue but not my drawing it is notmy favorite.
